One down. Two to go. Thank the Lord for helping me survive this day. Almost everything was awkward. We experienced a slight shower and had to hold the garden wedding for two hours. And I found out that the people I came with were all eat-and-run types, which I found very ungracious and offensive.
Jakey had a more or less weird time too. He had to check on me every once in a while during the ceremony just to make sure I wasn’t being harassed or bullied. I, on the other hand, just had to keep my mouth shut and reject all offers of insincerity just so I don’t get any of their bad vibes. Went so far as to shut down voices so I wouldn’t need to react and be offensive. It was very hard work, and our only consolation was seeing two people in love with one another so much that they are willing to commit to an institutional hype like marriage. I know I can’t.
Fashion emergency.
I was ironing my univ grad dress yesterday, and then it happened. I burned a freaking hole into it.
Jacob was doing groomsmen duties when he had to come rushing over to help me find a new one.
This was the fruit of our labor.
